Mondo and June, two writers, are caught between a rock and a hard place with their new script. As they argue over whether Link, the main character of their script, should live or die, they must come to terms with what separating the artist from the art means to them.

Kai, unwilling to face the next chapter of his life, tries to hold onto his most cherished memories through a movie he makes with his best friends Taia and Cade in the summer after their senior year of high school. The film becomes a space for Kai to understand what's important to him as his life unravels around him.

12 young writers from around the world are selected for a summer residency mentored by the world-renowned writer and director Lena Connova. A talented but blunt teacher, she pushes each writer to make something great through a competition which promises her directing and producing the program's best script.
